Who is XFortuit?

On the surface, XFortuit looks like an ordinary forex and crypto broker. Its public site is presented at https://www.xfortuit.com/. But surface impressions are exactly what these operations rely on — the substance behind XFortuit is where the problems begin.

Is XFortuit regulated?

We could find no evidence that XFortuit holds a valid licence from any recognised financial regulator. Trading client funds without authorisation is one of the strongest indicators of a scam — there is no regulator to complain to, and no protection for your money.

Red flags we identified

Our analysis

XFortuit claims to operate under XFortuit LLC, which is registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. While we can confirm that a company with the same name is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, this only grants International Business Company (IBC) status. This does not constitute a valid financial licence. The SVG FSA has clearly stated that it does not regulate or licence forex brokers. XFortuit is actually not licensed by any recognised financial authority. Therefore, XFortuit appears to be a scam.

Can you recover money lost to XFortuit?

If you have deposited with XFortuit, do not pay any further “fees” to withdraw — that is part of the trap. Funds sent to operations like this can sometimes be traced on-chain and pursued through the exchanges and processors that received them. Whether recovery is realistic depends on how you paid and how quickly you act.
