Who is Unifi Forex?
On the surface, Unifi Forex looks like an ordinary forex and crypto broker. Its public site is presented at https://unififorex.com/. But surface impressions are exactly what these operations rely on — the substance behind Unifi Forex is where the problems begin.
Is Unifi Forex regulated?
Unifi Forex provides no verifiable regulatory licence. An unregulated broker answers to no one: it can freeze withdrawals, invent fees, and disappear with deposits, all without consequence. This alone is reason enough to stay away.
Red flags we identified
- No credible physical address or verifiable corporate record
- Withdrawals reportedly blocked behind “taxes,” “fees” or account “upgrades”
- No verifiable licence from a recognised financial regulator
- Offshore or shell-company registration used to avoid oversight
- Opaque or anonymous corporate ownership
Our analysis
In an attempt to appear legitimate, Unifi Forex provides an Australian Business Number (ABN) to demonstrate its legitimacy within this jurisdiction. While the Australian Business Register indeed includes entries matching Unifi Forex and its ABN, it is crucial to note that a person or entity that provides financial or investment products or advice needs to acquire an Australian Financial Services (AFS) license. However, our search for this company in the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) didn't find any information supporting its legitimacy in forex trading. In essence, Unifi Forex is not regulated by any governing body. Entrusting this broker with investors' funds is highly risky, as there are no legal protections in place to safeguard the funds. Unifi Forex is unequivocally a scam.
Can you recover money lost to Unifi Forex?
If you have deposited with Unifi Forex, do not pay any further “fees” to withdraw — that is part of the trap. Funds sent to operations like this can sometimes be traced on-chain and pursued through the exchanges and processors that received them. Whether recovery is realistic depends on how you paid and how quickly you act.
