Who is BOGS Markets?
On the surface, BOGS Markets looks like an ordinary forex and crypto broker. Its public site is presented at http://www.bogs.market/index.php/. But surface impressions are exactly what these operations rely on — the substance behind BOGS Markets is where the problems begin.
Is BOGS Markets regulated?
BOGS Markets provides no verifiable regulatory licence. An unregulated broker answers to no one: it can freeze withdrawals, invent fees, and disappear with deposits, all without consequence. This alone is reason enough to stay away.
Red flags we identified
- Opaque or anonymous corporate ownership
- Account dashboards that show “gains” with no real market exposure
- Withdrawals reportedly blocked behind “taxes,” “fees” or account “upgrades”
- No verifiable licence from a recognised financial regulator
- Aggressive “account managers” coaching clients to deposit
Our analysis
BOGS Markets claims to be an authorized broker under double supervision, including the United States NFA regulation (ID: 0523413) and Canada MSB authoritative supervision (ID: M19911333). However, Canada MSB license is approved by the Canada Fintrac which doesn't regulate forex markets nor issue licenses for brokers engaging in such activities. So please beware of brokers claiming their MSB regulation by Fintrac, since they are actually unlicensed. Besides, we indeed found a result matching this broker in NFA's registry, however, BOGS Markets is not overseen by NFA as it is not an approved member of the regulator. As a forex trader, you must bear in mind that if a broker claims to be eligible to solicit US customers in forex activities, it must: 1) be accredited as an approved Forex Dealer Member of NFA; 2) be admitted as a "retail forex exchange dealer." Obviously, BOGS Markets doesn't satisfy these conditions. That means, this broker is merely a registered firm rather than a regulated one and is not qualified to carry out such services. Therefore, it is a scam.
Can you recover money lost to BOGS Markets?
If you have deposited with BOGS Markets, do not pay any further “fees” to withdraw — that is part of the trap. Funds sent to operations like this can sometimes be traced on-chain and pursued through the exchanges and processors that received them. Whether recovery is realistic depends on how you paid and how quickly you act.
