Who is MLX Trading?
On the surface, MLX Trading looks like an ordinary forex and crypto broker. Its public site is presented at https://mlxtrading.com/. But surface impressions are exactly what these operations rely on — the substance behind MLX Trading is where the problems begin.
Is MLX Trading regulated?
We could find no evidence that MLX Trading holds a valid licence from any recognised financial regulator. Trading client funds without authorisation is one of the strongest indicators of a scam — there is no regulator to complain to, and no protection for your money.
Red flags we identified
- Offshore or shell-company registration used to avoid oversight
- Withdrawals reportedly blocked behind “taxes,” “fees” or account “upgrades”
- No credible physical address or verifiable corporate record
- Account dashboards that show “gains” with no real market exposure
- Aggressive “account managers” coaching clients to deposit
Our analysis
MLX Trading is not a reliable broker for traders even though it states offers that look good to be true. MLX Trading claims it has been offering forex services since 2017. However, when we checked its domain, we found it was created in 2020. So how could it start its business in 2015? It is a red flag here. Besides, this broker shows its office address is in the United States. So we did searching in the US regulator National Futures Association (NFA) but found no matching results to MLX Trading. That means MLX Trading is not overseen by any regulators. Investors' funds in this broker are unsafe and cannot be protected by any law. Therefore, it is a scam.
Can you recover money lost to MLX Trading?
If you have deposited with MLX Trading, do not pay any further “fees” to withdraw — that is part of the trap. Funds sent to operations like this can sometimes be traced on-chain and pursued through the exchanges and processors that received them. Whether recovery is realistic depends on how you paid and how quickly you act.
