Who is Foti Markets?

On the surface, Foti Markets looks like an ordinary forex and crypto broker. Its public site is presented at https://www.fotimarkets.com/. But surface impressions are exactly what these operations rely on — the substance behind Foti Markets is where the problems begin.

Is Foti Markets regulated?

We could find no evidence that Foti Markets holds a valid licence from any recognised financial regulator. Trading client funds without authorisation is one of the strongest indicators of a scam — there is no regulator to complain to, and no protection for your money.

Red flags we identified

  • No credible physical address or verifiable corporate record
  • Withdrawals reportedly blocked behind “taxes,” “fees” or account “upgrades”
  • Account dashboards that show “gains” with no real market exposure
  • Unrealistic profit claims and pressure to deposit more
  • Aggressive “account managers” coaching clients to deposit

Our analysis

Foti Markets claims to be based in the Comoros and states that it is a trading name of Foti Capital Ltd, which is authorized by the Union of Comoros Offshore Finance Authority (UCOFA). Our investigation reveals that it is actually regulated by the Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority (AOFA). This regulatory body is known for extremely weak oversight, offers very limited investor protection, and is widely regarded as lacking credibility. Furthermore, AOFA does not maintain a public registry of licensed brokers on an official website, significantly increasing the risks for investors. Notably, Foti Markets does not appear to be supervised or licensed by any recognized mainstream financial regulatory authority. Due to these serious concerns, we have classified Foti Markets as a fraudulent broker.

Can you recover money lost to Foti Markets?

If you have deposited with Foti Markets, do not pay any further “fees” to withdraw — that is part of the trap. Funds sent to operations like this can sometimes be traced on-chain and pursued through the exchanges and processors that received them. Whether recovery is realistic depends on how you paid and how quickly you act.
