Who is BoForex?
On the surface, BoForex looks like an ordinary forex and crypto broker. Its public site is presented at https://boforex.com/. But surface impressions are exactly what these operations rely on — the substance behind BoForex is where the problems begin.
Is BoForex regulated?
We could find no evidence that BoForex holds a valid licence from any recognised financial regulator. Trading client funds without authorisation is one of the strongest indicators of a scam — there is no regulator to complain to, and no protection for your money.
Red flags we identified
- Withdrawals reportedly blocked behind “taxes,” “fees” or account “upgrades”
- Aggressive “account managers” coaching clients to deposit
- No credible physical address or verifiable corporate record
- Opaque or anonymous corporate ownership
- Unrealistic profit claims and pressure to deposit more
Our analysis
BoForex claims that its operating entity BoForex Company LTD is a “fully licensed and regulated broker”. However, the only regulatory information it provides is a purported registration in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. First, we were unable to locate any record of BoForex Company LTD in the official register of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Second, even if such a registration existed, it would only confer International Business Company (IBC) status, which does not constitute a valid financial services or forex trading license. Therefore, BoForex’s claims about being fully licensed appear to be highly misleading, and possibly false. At worst, it may not even be legitimately registered as a company. BoForex appears to be a scam.
Can you recover money lost to BoForex?
If you have deposited with BoForex, do not pay any further “fees” to withdraw — that is part of the trap. Funds sent to operations like this can sometimes be traced on-chain and pursued through the exchanges and processors that received them. Whether recovery is realistic depends on how you paid and how quickly you act.
